Navigation:  Estimates > How to Open an Estimate

To open an estimate:

1.In the general menu File, select the item Open

2.Select the .qdv extension

3.Select an estimate file; if the default user profile (refer to User Profiles) is password-protected; this brings up a dialog box preset to the default user profile

4.If the need arises, select another profile

5.If any, enter the password (or NT Group); this opens the estimate; the profile full name shows in the lower right corner.

 

To reopen an estimate recently opened, click the item Recent, then the estimate. Click its toggler pin on the right to enroll the estimate row in the favorite group or to withdraw it.

The default folder is set in File>Options>Settings.

Several estimates can be opened simultaneously (Multi Document Interface). A row selection is retained even though the estimate window is no longer active.

 

Opening from the Management Module

1.Select the Data tab

2.Select a row with a path

3.Edit the row if the need arises

4.Click Open estimate.
