How to Migrate Downgraded Estimates to Version 2024

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

From the version 2024, QDV7 uses the xlsx format for  the Overhead workbooks in place of xls. Unlike the xls format the xlsx format does NOT ignore some incomplete formulas. Hence QDV7 version 2024 blocks the opening of estimates with such invalid syntax.

Example of invalid syntax: =IF('Info Project'!K12<>,'Info Project'!K12,100), where the operand is missing.

A message informs you about the blockage.

If you know in which cells, an operand is missing, create the file <installation folder>/Fix_Migration_Error_Missing_Operand_In_Formulas.txt and list the wrong cells in it e.g.,

'Infos Etats - Reports Info'!C9

'Infos Etats - Reports Info'!C10

'Infos Etats - Reports Info'!D13

On opening the estimate QDV7 inserts 0 in these formulas.

NOTES

- As the estimate name is not specified, make sure you do not alter formulas in other estimates; the references irrelevant to the current estimate are ignored.

- As under Excel, wrap the sheet names containing spaces with single quotes as exemplified. If a cell reference is not valid, the line is ignored.

- In this file all the blank lines and lines starting with / are ignored.
