To define a time frame Timetable of costs or rates, refer to How to Create Time Frame Fields.
A time frame sheet looks like the Material sheet or the Workforce sheet or a mixture of both depending on the Data type: Costs, Times, or Flexible.
Entry is subject to permission.
Material and Workforce total amounts are kept apart from the regular Material and Workforce total amounts in the Spread Sheets and in the Summary (Show>Breakdown), but are merged in the Overhead Summary sheet.
The values to enter over time depend on the Data Type, hence on the set it substitutes for during the time if the 'Is part of cost' box has been checked (totally or partially if a planner has been defined in addition):

Time frame: the values in E1 and E2 are always equal to these values in the Fields Manager, wherever you have edited them most recently.
The main and sub-periods show in grayed uppercase in A3 and A4, hence can be tested in formulas; the values are always in english (DAYS, DECADES, MONTHS, NONE, QUADRIMESTERS, QUARTERS, SEMESTERS, WEEKS, YEARS).
In the E3 cell, you can select a default Workforce kind ID. You can also enter formulas for Time frame kind IDs and names; thus you can repeat the values entered in the Material/Workforce sheets.
Unlike the ones in the Workforce sheet, the featured columns do not depend on the calculating mode: they are not use to calculate selling prices.
With the flexible data type, you choose for each kind ID whether you want to enter in the Minutes view by sub-period
▪times as for a regular workforce component (with rates)
▪costs directly (to which factors are applied)
▪quantities to spread units to which a unique lump sum (unit cost) is applied (in addition to individual factors).
The 'Cost only' column reflects these choices.
As a consequence, in the Minutes view, only some cells will be filled up according to the Time frame Kind ID of each row:

Sample with Time Frame exemplifies a time frame with times and quantities, and a list for overhead to switch from fix and firm prices to variable prices.
To freeze on the fly in the the Minutes view a Rate or a Factor to the value of the 'fixed Rate or a Factor' entered in the time frame sheet, enter 1 for the 'No escalation' toggler.
Rates and factors can be entered thru formulas. As of the unit of time, a formula is allowed insofar as the result is in the list (take into account the language if several ones can be used).
No free column, nor return factors can be inserted in this sheet.
Parameters
Start Date: any change is reflected in the preset value in How to Create Time Frame Fields. It is used as
▪reference date for the periods and sub-periods in the minutes view
▪reference date in the Start Period when curves are used (refer to How to Fill the Time Columns); this is the sub-period from where the distribution starts at the earliest
Nr of Periods: count of periods shown in the minutes view; any change is reflected in the preset value in How to Create Time Frame Fields
Cash Data Sheet
To plot over time the financial flows and subsequent charges or revenues for the various time frame columns, insert a Cash Data sheet and a user sheet with a cash-flow curve; this creates a breakdown across the months. This works even if the frame period is not the month as QDV7 calculates proper values per month.
Use the Cash flow columns in the Time frame sheet:
▪Take in Cash Flow: enter an x for the amounts to be taken into account in the Cash Data sheet; this inserts rows at the end of the Liabilities section
▪List Times in Cash Flow Sheet: enter x for the amounts to show in the Cash data sheet bottom.
Curves can be added in the header or the rows. Refer to Planner Data.
Use with a Planner
You cannot insert columns into the sheet <Time frame>, but you can into the Planner data sheet.
Insert the set of columns related to the time frame. This works even if the frame period is not the month. QDV7 calculates proper values per month. The set includes the net costs and data related to selling prices. QDV7 spreads the net costs of the summary across the Gantt tasks.
You can enter Cash/List and curves like in the Planner Data sheet. To list the amounts in the Cash data sheet bottom, enter List.
DATA TYPE = COSTS
QDV7 processes the time-frame rows AS the regular ones.
To include the time-frame rows in the Cash data, check out that Cash is entered for the Material. Otherwise, enter Cash in the column Net cost; then the time frame rows are forcefully taken into account.

DATA TYPE = TIME or FLEXIBLE
To treat the time-frame rows AS the regular ones, enter Cash/List and curves like in the Planner Data sheet.
To treat the time frame rows APART, use the Cash flow columns in their own sheet:
▪Take in Cash Flow: enter an x for the amounts to be taken into account in the Cash Data sheet; this inserts rows at the end of the Liabilities section with labels <Time frame field name>-<Time frame Item name>, whereas the planner rows receive the prefix Planner data-
▪List Times in Cash Flow Sheet: enter x for the times to show in the Cash data sheet bottom
Curves can be added in the header or the rows like in the Planner Data sheet.
Depending on the configuration, the Cash data sheet shows various results:

- To handle several cash sheets, e.g., one for On-shore Kind Id, one for Off-shore Kind Id, insert 2 Cash Data sheets (up to 5), and assign to the Kind Ids the following:
▪'x' will forward the amounts to all Cash Data sheets
▪'1' will forward the amounts to Cash Data sheet #1, 'Cash2' will forward the amounts to Cash Data sheet #2, etc
▪'1+3+5' for example will forward the amounts to Cash Data sheets #1, 3 and 5.
